Thoughts from Brown Town

Two amazing websites writen by two guys who were out in Burkina when I was there and are still there now (I think) are below. They have pictures and stories and amazing articles and pieces of writing, way better than will be on here so take a look.

Also if you shop on amazon you can get the same books/cds etc. for the same price but also get them to give some money to a charity, eg. SIM the mission organisation I went away with. All you have to do is go to ushopugive
and find SIM in the charity bit and then find amazon in the shop bit (or any other shop that is on there eg. tesco, debenhams, burtons, the list goes on). Then you can shop as normal but also give money!!!! DO IT!

'Where is Burkina Faso?' This was the first thing I wanted to know after being told on the phone that this unheard of country was where I would be spending 7 months of my life. South America, Africa, where? Hopefully the maps will help you if you too are wondering the same thing! The town up at the top of the Burkina map called Djibo is where I was living.

In the year 2003/4 I took a gap year and went abroad with the missionary organisation SIM. I intend in this blog to enter some of my diary entries, show some photos and put a bit about what i learned and did in Burkina Faso. A map might be helpful too!

Why am I making a site about me? I don't know really, I'm the only thing I know alot about I suppose! Its also quite fun to do!!
Anyway, a bit about me. My name is Anna Brown, I was born in Manchester 19 years ago (1985). I went to a school in stockport, a college in cheadle and a church in chorlton. After A-Levels I took a year out and went to Burkina Faso, West Africa, for a gap year. Maybe I'll make a separate post catagory about that. Now i'm at Leeds university studying Animal Biology. Fun fun fun!

Fave colour : Blue, red, green, purple........I like most!
Siblings : Brother who's 17 (born 1987), sister who's 7 (born 1997)  (in photo)
Dislikes : Spiders, getting up.
Likes : Most everything else!
Fave books : Oooo, a lot! Harry Potters got to be there, Poisonwood Bible, Lord of the Rings..........the Bible, if you've not read it, READ IT! (Start somewhere in the middle with Matthew, Mark, Luke and John)
Pet : Dog Paddy
Fave animal : Cows!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Maybe horses first but then cows)
